Maple Products from Qubec Sponsor BCFC v Bristol City
Over 60 members of the Birmingham City Ladies Regional Talent Club were guests of Principal Partners, Maple Products From Quebec, at St. Andrew’s on Saturday as they got a special taste of a men’s team matchday.
Maple Products from Quebec recently signed up as the first international sponsors of the BCFC Ladies' RTC as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of maple in sport and exercise, aimed at athletes and those interested in sports nutrition.
Members of the Under-10s, 12s, 14s, and 16s enjoyed a special Maple Product inspired menu laid on by BCFC Executive Head Chef Andrew Redmond and Maple Products UK Consultant Chef, David Colcombe, in the City Room and International Suite before being introduced to the crowd on the St. Andrew’s pitch at half- time.
The children watched the 1-0 win against Bristol City from the Kop before returning to the hospitality suites to meet and have a photo with man-of-the-match Tomas Kuszczak.
Ian Dutton, Head of Commercial at Blues said: "We were delighted to welcome Maple Products From Quebec on Saturday afternoon to further the work they are doing with the BCLFC RTC and it was fantastic to see how much the girls enjoyed their day.
"The members of the RTC really are the stars of the future in terms of Ladies football with a number of players expected to one day represent their country and of course graduate to the First Team.
"The health benefits of using maple instead of unnatural sugar are great and the partnership we have with Maple Products From Quebec to align their brand with the superb young talent throughout the age groups is very positive both for the Club and their business.
"We are really looking forward to continuing our working relationship on the back of such a successful day on Saturday."
UK chef ambassador for Maple Products from Quebec, David Colcombe, commented: “The match sponsorship on Saturday was a great success. It was a pleasure to meet the players and parents from the RTC and we received some very warming responses from them regarding our sponsorship of the club.
“Saturday really marked the start of what will be a promising partnership with the club and we look forward to working with the coaches and players to educate everyone on the benefits of maple in sport and everyday cooking.”
